How I work and What you can expect.

When we begin working together, the first priority is for you to feel heard and understood. I will take time to listen carefully to what has been happening in your life and what has led you to seek support now.

From there, we will work collaboratively to make sense of your experiences and identify a way forward that feels manageable, meaningful, and right for you. Therapy will always move at your pace, with respect for your individual needs and circumstances.

My approach integrates well-established therapeutic models, including cognitive and person-centred principles, alongside solution-focused work and a holistic understanding of emotional wellbeing. This means we focus not only on difficulties, but also on your strengths, resources, and what helps you feel more balanced and in control.

Many people notice positive changes within a relatively short period of time, while others may benefit from longer-term support, particularly when difficulties are more complex. We will regularly review our work together so that therapy remains purposeful and responsive to you.

The aim of my work is to help you gain clarity, confidence, and practical tools that you can use both during therapy and beyond it. Where challenges are ongoing or linked to neurodivergence, I may draw on a blend of therapeutic support to help you manage day-to-day life more effectively.

If you prefer sessions online, Its done via a secure platform, allowing you to access therapy from the comfort and privacy of your own space.

Many people come to therapy feeling concerned that it will involve repeatedly revisiting painful memories or talking in detail about experiences they would rather leave behind, if you prefer not to go to the painful past, my way of working using Human Givens Institute approach does not require this.

Contemporary psychological research shows that meaningful change can happen without reliving distress. Instead, I focus on supporting you to regulate difficult emotions, strengthen your inner resources, and develop ways of responding to challenges with greater ease and choice.

Where trauma is part of your experience, the work is about helping its impact reduce, so it no longer shapes your present or future.
