Human Givens Approach / Rewind
For trauma, PTSD and phobias, I use Rewind Therapy, a highly effective and gentle technique within the Human Givens approach.
Rewind Therapy allows the brain to process traumatic memories without you needing to relive, describe or emotionally re-experience what happened. The memory is safely “re-filed” as something that happened in the past, rather than something that still feels present and threatening to your nervous system.
It works a little like watching a film on fast-forward, from a safe distance, with the emotional volume turned down. This allows the brain to store the memory differently, so it no longer triggers the same intense emotional or physical reactions.
This approach is particularly helpful for:
-
Trauma and PTSD
-
Phobias
-
Panic attacks
-
Nightmares and intrusive memories
Many people experience significant improvement in one to a small number of sessions, making it a time-efficient and contained approach.

What is it like in real life?
You may still remember the event, but it no longer feels as though it is happening to you now.
The memory remains, but the panic response softens, allowing you to feel calmer, safer, and more in control.
